The Same Visions EP is a further exploration of the Madrid-based pair's penchant for hypnotic, raw techno with a twist of darkness. For its third release, Cogo brings together some of techno's most talented producers. Stanislav Tolkachev's "Tell The Truth And Run" revolves around firing percussion and tough kicks, with these elements providing the basis for tweaked tones.

In contrast, Inigo Kennedy ventures down a less visceral route for "Lucid"; peppered with his signature evocative tones and featuring a pulsating bass and subtle acid squelches, the combination makes for a hypnotic sound.

Meanwhile, Samuli Kemppi proves why he is one of Europe's most respected techno artists as he delivers the dubbed out "Trees Below Surface", while Tonske delivers a darker take on underground sounds with the menacing groove of "Obscure". Here we have the spellbinding hypnotiser that is "Dopa La Vita" with its glassy-eyed and bittersweet vibe throughout, backed by second offering "Mande" which takes a darker turn on this off-kilter minimal tech house cut that's sure to bring on the tunnel vision.

With heavyweight support from the likes of Berghain's Ben Klock and Marcel Dettmann, it's no surprise that Marcal's star is in the ascent - and this release is a reminder of why he is receiving this acclaim. There is another, less frenetic side to this producer's sound, articulated on the dubbed out "Machidan", but in the main, this collection will turn heads thanks to its dark, dizzying energy, audible through the walking bass and dystopian synths of "Oboro".
