Careful examination of Early Remington Rand pistols will reveal striking similarities in some of the parts to Singer made parts such as the triggers and mainspring housings.
The first production pistols where accepted by ordinance inspectors in November of Initial shipments appeared to perform satisfactorily, but subsequent tests performed by Ordnance Inspectors revealed serious problems with parts interchangeability.

By March of they where building the lowest price pistol in the war effort and quality was considered second to none. By the end of the war Remington Rand had produced over , pistols, almost as many as Colt , and Ithaca , combined. Note: Since Remington Rand manufactured more A1s then any other military contractor and the fact that the quality was considered second to none, it is not uncommon to find many Remington Rand receivers as the foundation to the National Match pistols used at the Camp Perry National Matches.

He started with the Model 12 rimfire model in and designed its big brother, the Model 14 in The Model 12 and 14 rifles were butter smooth with a magazine tube that moved with the slide. It is in about Very Good overall condition. This is a nice little takedown rifle that probably served someone for squirrels and rabbits back in the day. Although there were quite a few of the Model 12 rifles made, this one has a nice bore and original finish.
